Bethany joined Family Law Group in August 2022 as a Paralegal. Bethany mostly works on Public Law Care Cases, however, has assisted on Private Law Children cases.
Having achieved 1st class honours in her law degree at the University of Derby in 2021, Bethany went on to study the Legal Practice Course and awarded the degree of Master of Laws with Merit in 2023.
Bethany has assisted on a diverse caseload with casesinvolving Non-Accidental Injury, Female Genital Mutilation, and Neglect.Bethany also has experience representing clients in the pre-proceedings PLOprocess and negotiates with Local Authorities to try to avoid care cases beinginitiated.
It has always been Bethany’s intention to be a familylawyer. Bethany is passionate about guiding and supporting clients throughoutthe legal process as well as ensuring people have equal access to justice. Bethany appreciates the importance of buildinga good rapport with clients so that they feel confident in her abilities toadvise and represent them accordingly.
Proceedings in respect of family and children canunderstandably be worrying therefore, Bethany approaches situations in anempathetic manner whilst providing straightforward and knowledgeful advice.
Outside of her career, Bethany likes to care for her pets,spending time with her family and exploring the coasts of the UK.
