Katy began working in a Law Firm in Newcastle upon Tyne aged17 as an Office Junior and then went on to gain more than 20 years’ experience in a Secretarial/PA role, finally becoming a team leader. This was when she decided to take the step in to HR, recently being promoted to HR Manager.
Katy is committed to supporting her colleagues across all of FLG’s offices on a day to day basis, taking on board new ideas and putting forward suggestions for new policies and assisting in implementing the Medicash Scheme for all employees. She believes that Employees and Teamwork are the key to success in any business. Katy’s favourite quote is “You don’t inspire your teammates by showing them how amazing you are, you inspire them by showing them how amazing they are”. (Robyn Benincasa)

Outside of work Katy is married with four children (two sons and two daughters) and enjoys taking her Dog Pedro on long walks but never in the mud as he’s white! Katy has had a Newcastle United season ticket since 1985 and attends home and away matches with her husband, children and parents. She often takes part in monthly fundraising walks for different charities, most recently to raise much needed funds for Shelter, Sands and GAIN.
