Keri-Anne is a Solicitor and joined Family Law Group in July 2017. She works at the Milton Keynes office assisting clients from a range of areas including Milton Keynes, Aylesbury, Northampton and Bedford. Keri-Anne specialises in care proceedings and private law matters including children and domestic abuse for both private and Legally Aided clients.
Having obtained a 2:1 in her LLB Law Degree at Coventry University in 2017, Keri-Anne then went on to successfully complete her Legal Practice Certificate in 2019 with distinction at De Montfort University in Leicester. Whilst undertaking her LPC, she was awarded the Debs Evenden Memorial Prize for Family Law.
Keri-Anne commenced her legal career straight after leaving university, when she proactively contacted Milton Keynes Family Law for work experience. Having joined the Care team for less than two weeks, she made such a positive impression that she was offered a permanent role as a Paralegal. Keri-Anne started her role within the Divorce and Finances department where she remained for one year, before returning to the Care team.
Keri-Anne has always wanted to study law and this commenced when she attended Court to watch a trial take place. She then went on to study law as one of her A-Level subjects and decided that family law was the area that she was most passionate about. She says; “family law provides me with the opportunity to help those individuals who are at their most vulnerable.”
When asked about the attributes that make her able to help her clients obtain the best outcome, Keri-Anne feels that the most important areas are having effective communication skills, completing work for clients in a timely manner and having attention to detail at all times. She prides herself on being able to assess what communication style will best meet an individual clients needs and adapt her style accordingly to help them understand, what can be very complex issues. She also believes that being efficient is imperative to ensure that clients feel they are being provided with the best possible service and being responded to quickly.
Keri-Anne’s passion for family law stems from a desire to make sure that her client’s voice is heard. She says that; “it is an unbelievable feeling when your client achieves what they wanted at the end of a case and when they provide you with great feedback.”
Outside of her career, Keri-Anne enjoys socialising with friends and spending as much time as possible with her family. Keri-Anne enjoys reading fiction novels in her free time and aims to read three books per month. She plays netball every week and recently took part in the Milton Keynes Outdoor Netball League. Finally, she plays darts for a local team in her community.
Keri-Anne is also pivotal in organizing and arranging charitable fundraising events in the Milton Keynes office. This year Keri-Anne helped organise a successful coffee morning raising money for MacMillan Cancer Research. She is hoping to organise the Three Peaks Challenge for the Office in 2020.

Keri-Anne was absolutely amazing through my experience, her communication was perfect, telling me what was happening and what everything meant to something that was so alien to me. the custody battle was a horrible experience but Keri-Anne helped me emotionally as well as being professional. i found out a lot of traumatising things and she pointed me in the right direction for therapy.
