Kim is a solicitor at our Nottingham office, though she often works from our other offices. She joined us as a paralegal at the start of 2022 after a career as Head of English at a local secondary school. She obtained a degree in English in 2012 and qualified as a solicitor through the newly introduced SQE route.
Having extensive experience with children and understanding how stressful experience can affect children, it was a natural fit for Kim to assist our Senior Associate Solicitor, Julie Foster in private law children matters while building her knowledge and case load. She now has a busy practice in private law children matters and domestic abuse matters.
Her knowledge and experience ensure that children are always at the centre of any proceeding, along with supporting the client through what is understandably a difficult time. She is approachable and able to quickly build trust and rapport, providing excellent client care.
Kim assisted Julie Foster on the reported case MacDougall v Others; this was one of her first cases.

Outside of work Kim is a total foodie, using her lunch breaks to try out various restaurants and organising the cob run on a Tuesday morning.

I had difficulty with custody for my son since we moved in UK. Sadly my court case was only for my younger son but family law group are including my older son as one family.
